Circulo de PR, Inc. (CPRI) is proud to announce that Armando Lebron Rosario, a valued member of CPRI’s board, has been awarded a research fellowship for his doctoral studies at Swansea University through the Crocus Doctoral Landscape Award (DLA).
Armando, born in Philadelphia to Puerto Rican parents, holds a bachelor’s degree from Temple University and a Master’s in Entomology from the University of Maryland. He has developed sustainable agricultural techniques for farmers and currently works as a USDA-supported entomologist. In addition to his academic achievements, Armando holds leadership roles in several organizations, including CPRI in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas.
The Crocus Doctoral Landscape Award will support Armando’s research in environmental science and sustainability through the Climate System and Biodiversity Science for Challenges, Risks, and Opportunities – Collaborating in Understanding and Solutions (CROCUS) program. This highly selective program will train only five cohorts of PhD students, starting in October 2025, and Armando is proud to be among the first.
CPRI congratulates Armando on this remarkable achievement and looks forward to his continued contributions to environmental science and leadership.
