This year, Círculo de Puerto Rico, Inc. (CPRI) proudly continued its mission to support educational and socially impactful initiatives. One of our most meaningful contributions was a $3,000 donation to the Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) on May 8, 2025.

LAYC is an organization dedicated to empowering youth as they transition successfully into adulthood through programs that support their social, academic, and professional development. Since June, as part of its summer programming, LAYC has offered a wide range of classes, including academic enrichment, career exploration, arts and media, and drug prevention. Youth also participated in educational outings to universities, cultural institutions, and companies. Reaching over 500 young people across the region.

As Milena Ovejero, Annual Fund Manager at LAYC, shared none of this would be possible without the support of donors like CPRI.

Now, LAYC invites us to celebrate the closing of their successful summer session with the “Teen Center Showcase – Summer Exhibition”, taking place on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at 1419 Columbia Road NW, Washington, DC 20009. 

During the event, youth will present original works in arts and media, sharing what they’ve learned and created throughout the summer.
