CPRI,

Aug 1, 2025

Circulo de Puerto Rico, Inc. is proud to acknowledge the remarkable achievements of Dr. Jacob Lozada, a distinguished Puerto Rican leader whose life story exemplifies resilience, perseverance, and dedication to public service. Dr. Lozada is a highly decorated Army veteran, recognized by Hispanic Business Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics and by National Journal as one of Washington's top decision-makers. He is now retired in Austin, Texas [1].

Soon, his autobiography, "Puerto Rico to the White House: A Memoir of Possibilities and Persistence" will be published on September 15, 2025. In this book, Dr. Lozada shares his journey from growing up in the rural community of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, to becoming Assistant Secretary of Human Resources and Administration in the administration of President George W. Bush, while always expressing his deep love for his homeland, people, and parents [2]. Highlighting how the values of accountability and hard work, taught by his parents, helped him overcome military challenges and adapt to a new culture, his autobiography offers more than just personal triumph. It provides valuable lessons on perseverance, proving that success isn’t reserved for the privileged but is available to anyone who pursues their goals with integrity and determination [1].

At Circulo de Puerto Rico, Inc., we are deeply proud to highlight individuals like Dr. Lozada, who continue to break barriers and inspire Puerto Ricans and Latinos striving for excellence in their professional lives or as leaders.
