Circulo de Puerto Rico Inc. is pleased to acknowledge the distinguished contribution of Israel Figueroa, a Puerto Rican engineer, to a collaborative project between NASA and Firefly Aerospace. This initiative successfully launched a lunar lander named "Blue Ghost" to the moon on March 2, 2025. Currently, this robotic module, equipped with an array of measurement instruments, is on the lunar surface gathering critical data to support future scientific advancements. [1]

While Blue Ghost carries out its mission, this lunar module also bears the names of all the individuals who contributed to this project, from its construction to those responsible for ensuring its safe orbit to its destination, in which Israel played a significant role. We take great pride in the inclusion of our esteemed Puerto Rican representative, Israel Figueroa, among these names. [1]

Israel exemplifies the goals of our organization and our mission to empower young Puerto Ricans to become exceptional professionals in the global arena. We invite you to continue your support, enabling us to assist even more young individuals in our community who possess promising futures.
